How to Care for DTF Printed Shirts
Use the garment label and the instructions for the actual print process, and avoid treating a generic care tip as a durability guarantee.
Read the garment care label and request the instructions that apply to the actual printing method. Where instructions differ, ask for clarification before washing. There is no universal washing temperature or lifetime that this guide can promise for every printed shirt.
Keep the garment and print instructions together
A sourced garment may carry its own care label, while the added print may have additional limits. Keep both sets of information with the order record, especially if a team’s shirts are washed together.
Ask about washing, drying, ironing and any waiting period after printing. These conditions depend on the actual garment and print process; do not replace them with a rule taken from a different printer’s product.
Explain the real washing routine
Tell the supplier if the garments will be commercially laundered, exposed to strong cleaning products or washed frequently after work. This is useful information for assessing the brief before the order, not only after a problem occurs.
If the team uses a shared laundry, pass on the confirmed instructions clearly. Avoid experimenting with heat, chemicals or ironing directly on a print when the applicable instructions are unknown.
Record the issue before trying a remedy
If you notice a change in the print or garment, keep the order reference and photographs of the issue. Note the washing conditions, cleaning products and drying method used so the circumstances can be assessed.
Contact the supplier to discuss the next step. MIREN’s process-specific care instructions and any remedy conditions must be confirmed for the order. This guide does not promise a number of washes, permanent colour or a particular replacement policy.
