Can a Blurry Logo Be Printed on a Shirt?

A practical checklist for assessing a low-resolution reference without assuming that enlargement or AI enhancement can restore the original artwork.

A small image may be useful as a reference, but its suitability depends on the intended print size and the detail it contains. Send the original image for assessment before promising that it can become a sharp garment print.

Look for a better source first

Ask the designer, brand owner or colleague who created the logo whether an original file exists. An earlier email attachment may be more useful than a picture saved through a messaging app. Keep the received original rather than repeatedly resaving it.

Record whether the reference is a photograph, screenshot or exported logo. These are different starting points. A photograph of an existing printed shirt also contains fabric texture, folds and lighting that are not part of the design.

Judge the image at the intended output size

Provide the desired print dimensions, including any small lettering. An image that looks acceptable on a phone screen may show jagged edges or unclear text when enlarged. Ask for a review of the actual file, not a promise based on a thumbnail.

Automatic enlargement can change edges or invent detail; it does not verify the exact shape of a logo. Check brand names, lettering and fine elements against a reliable original before approving any reconstructed artwork.

Separate assessment, redrawing and approval

Redrawing may be possible for some artwork, but the scope, fees and result must be agreed individually. MIREN does not promise that every poor image can be restored. A simpler design or smaller print can be discussed as an alternative.

Confirm that you have permission to use the artwork and identify who can approve changes. Compare the proposed design with the reference and keep the final approved file for repeat orders.
